{Making a list & checking it twice}

12.13.2009

I took some time this weekend to address and mail out my holiday card. I felt a quirky, 5″ x 7″ card would be fun and a little different from the normal holiday fold over card. As well as it gave me an opportunity to promote to different groups and businesses who and what is Cleis Design.

I had a blast coming up with fake holidays as well as researching real holidays. I’m ready to kick off 2010 with a bang!

1. Where did the web browser come from? A brief history.

3. Free Wallpaper-I’m such a fan of Grace Bonney and Design Sponge blog. They always leave me salivating with visual treats and design diy projects.

{Breaking down the Bail Out : This American Life}

10.6.2008

Kudos to This American Life for taking the bull by the horns for a second time (see past show on the sub prime lending debacle). This time Ira Glass and Alex Blumberg dice out the economy swill and explain it so we can all filter through some of the mass confusion. I am still leary about why the tax payers have to fit the bill that all the multi-trillion commercial paper pushers (the banks and Wall Street) f*#cked up. I’m starting to understand what’s going on right now. I still believe there are a few financiers that need to serve some time or pay some heavy duty penalties for this.

The economy is a pretty scary place right now.

In the meantime-do yourself a favor and check it out.
