2. Thursday, April 8: Get your indie rock on at Radio Radio with Japanoids, Avi Buffalo and Thunders.

3. Friday, April 9: Rock for Riley/MOKB presents Julian Casablanacas (The Strokes) at the Vogue. Stop by Luna Music (52nd St. and College Ave. location) earlier that day to get signed copies of his new album…be sure to check out the always amazing Amy McAdams poster promoting the event.

4. Saturday, April 10: Musical Family Tree is bringing local music back home to Radio Radio. Gentleman Caller is worth it!

3. Fear of Flying: Provocative installation exhibit at the Christopher West Presents Gallery. Catch this before it closes on April 10.

4. Installation Nation: It’s BAAACK! The second annual installation art exhibit event is going to be back on Michigan and College (Downtown Indy) on June 4. Call for artists is happening now. Submit your concept to fill a 8ft x 20ft container.

5.Monday, March 29: The Woodhands at Radio Radio. Keytar Rock, enuff said.

4. Arsenic and Old Lace at the IMA. What fond memories I have of this Cary Grant film. I used to watch this movie over and over with my family growing up. If you have a dark/twisted sense of humor like I do, you will find the timelessness of this flick. If not, then well I guess you are just weird ;) .

5. Reserve your tix while you can: Free Crazy Heart viewing from the wonderful IFF. This one is sure to be the Oscar clincher for Best Actor. Jeff Bridges already has won the golden globe for it, and T-Bone Burnett has made the soundtrack into a supporting role all by itself. (As of this posting the film has sold out…sorry.)

Well we’ve had a blue moon and now you can see a blue angel, this week is looking pretty awesome for being snowed in and bone chilling cold. Stay warm and have a good time!

1. The Blue Angel: One of Von Sternberg’s greatest German films of the thirties, (before Goebbels took over the German film industry). This film made Marlene Dietrich into an international star. It’s more than a Barry Manilow song, come see what Lola Lola was all about in this particular German Cabaret.
